So, it popped up the other day on my Facebook feed. June 16, 2017 was my *actual* first show that I shot.

June 16, 2017 I was given the opportunity to shoot some photos at the local bar for my friend’s band, Calumon. It took a few minutes to get comfortable moving around in the club to get photos, and the lighting was downright abysmal, but I made it happen. The photos were ‘ok’ at best, as I was Stillwater brand new at it. I learned a lot over the first few shows, and got way more comfortable with it. If you go through all of my photos, you’ll see the vast improvement in my work with experience.

2017, the year it all began.

In less than a year, I had gone from shooting pictures at the local bars to covering national and international acts. I got my first break, covering shows for Boston Rock Radio. My first big show was Hollywood Undead / Butcher Babies on 11/22/2017 at the Worcester Palladium. I was honestly nervous for that first show, since all I had done to that point was local bar shows.

2018, the year of growth.

2018 saw me taking on bigger shows more frequently, such as Nightwish, Iced Earth/Sanctuary, Persefone, and Behemoth/At The Gates. Along with a few local bar shows, my primary focus was moving towards larger shows with bigger national/international acts. It also saw me part ways with Boston Rock Radio.

2019, and beyond.

2019 came in like a bolt of lightning for me. I joined up with Skulls N Bones as a staff photographer, and things took off from there. Shooting bands like Immolation, Morbid Angel, Swallow the Sun, Children of Bodom, Dying Fetus, Whitechapel, Black Dahlia Murder, Meshuggah, Thy Art is Murder, and Architects. It’s been an incredible ride so far, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for me!

I really can’t express enough gratitude for all the support and opportunities I’ve gotten over the last two years. From my friend Damien and his band Calumon, to Wayne/Dom/Nina at Boston Rock Radio for my first break, to Jamie and Jason at Skulls N Bones for taking me on as part of the staff. The support I’ve gotten from my friends and family has been invaluable as well.

Thanks to everyone! I’m looking forward to the next few years of concerts and photography! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
